Why we are gathering

Now, it is our turn to stand beside her.

For more than three decades, Rainbow Medicine-Walker has been a steady and beloved presence in our community, sharing ceremony, prayer, ancestral teachings, and healing with generations of people.

An enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation, Rainbow has devoted much of her life to keeping ceremonial ways alive, caring for the land and community around her, and standing beside others through times of healing, hardship, and transformation.

Rainbow's husband, Gary, recently experienced a serious heart-related medical crisis that required an extended hospital stay. The cost of his care, ongoing medical needs, and the need for additional help at home have created a significant financial burden. Rainbow is also living with severe arthritis, making that support especially important.

Ceremonial offerings

A continuation, not an ending.

Rainbow will also be sharing some of her own ceremonial items. These pieces have gathered meaning and blessings through many years of ceremonial work and are offered on a donate-what-you-can basis, so they can continue their journey into new hands and new generations.
